Supply demand is not generated after the equipment is registered

Failure

The equipment is monitored in NDD Orbix, but shows no supply demand or forecast.

Cause

There are five possible causes:

  1. The equipment is not linked to a site or a stock.

  2. The supply has not been registered on the NDD Orbix portal.

  3. Compatibility between the equipment and the supply has not been defined.

  4. The initial level of the stock has not been entered or is incorrect.

  5. The stock safety rule has not been configured.

Solution

  1. Confirm the site to which the equipment is linked on the NDD Orbix portal

  2. Check the stock linked to that site

  3. Register the supplies used by the equipment, as instructed at Configure printer products

  4. Configure the compatibility settings between the equipment and the supplies, as instructed at Link compatibility between printer and product

  5. Enter the initial stock quantity for each linked supply, as instructed at Change product inventory for delivery locations

  6. Set the safety stock level (minimum stock) for each item in accordance with company policy, as instructed at Create safety stock rule for delivery locations

  7. Confirm the logistics replenishment time (delivery/fulfillment time)

  8. Run the demand analysis again or wait for the next automatic demand processing cycle on the portal

Additional information:

  • Equipment monitoring, such as readings, supply levels, and events, does not replace the configuration of supplies and stock in the NDD Orbix portal.

  • Incomplete records, such as equipment without a site or stock, incompatible materials, a missing initial level, or the absence of a safety rule, prevent the correct generation of supply demand.
