Failure
The printer is monitored in NDD Orbix, but shows no demand or supply forecast.
This failure can also occur when the supply level is low on multiple monitored printers, but no demand is automatically generated for demand planning.
Cause
The generation of demand depends on the complete configuration of the entire parameterization chain: printer, site, delivery location, supply, compatibility, ordering rules, and equipment readings.
Demand may not be generated when:

The printer is not linked to a site or a delivery location.

The supply is not registered or linked to the delivery location associated with the site.

The compatibility between the supply and the printer model is not configured.

The initial level of stock for the delivery location has not been entered or is incorrect.

The safety rule has not been configured correctly.

The automatic supply request rule has not been configured correctly.
-
The printer does not have a recent reading of the supply level.
Additionally, the demand may have been generated but may not be visible to the user viewing the plan if they do not have the necessary permissions.
Solution

Validate the configuration of the automatic supply request rules, as instructed in Create automatic request rule for printer supply demands

Confirm that the printer is monitored, that is, that communication is active and recent readings are available

Check the current level of supplies displayed on the printer, as instructed in View printer inventory

Confirm the site associated with the printer in the master data
-
Verify which delivery location is linked to the site
-
Register the supplies used by the printer, as instructed in Configure printer products

Confirm that the supplies used by the printer are linked to the delivery location
-
Review the compatibility configuration between the supply and the printer model, as instructed in Link compatibility between printer and product

Enter the initial stock quantity for each supply linked to a delivery location, as instructed in Change product inventory for delivery locations

Set the safety stock level (minimum stock) for each supply in accordance with company policy, as instructed in Create safety stock rule for delivery locations

Confirm the logistics replenishment time (lead time/service time)

Verify that the user responsible for the analysis has the necessary permissions to view demand planning

Perform a new printer reading or wait for the next monitoring cycle to update the supply level reading

Access the demand planning area, as instructed in Monitor printer supply demand planning

Verify that the suggested demand has been displayed

Printer monitoring, such as readings, supply levels, and events, does not replace the configuration of supplies and stock in the NDD Orbix portal.

Incomplete records, such as a printer without a site or stock, incompatible materials, a missing initial level, or the absence of a safety rule, prevent the correct generation of supply demand.
