NEW | New prerequisite: EPSON Port Communication Service

For Epson thermal printers connected via USB, the EPSON Port Communication Service (installed via the Epson Status API package) must be running.

During the installation process on Windows, the installer will automatically check whether the Epson Status API is already present on the computer. If it is not, the installation will be performed automatically.

Do not stop the EPSON Port Communication Service from running.

IMPROVEMENT | Version update of the Microsoft .NET Runtime and Microsoft ASP.NET Core Runtime prerequisites

The Microsoft .NET Runtime and Microsoft ASP.NET Core Runtime prerequisites have been updated to version 8.0.31.

Based on feedback sent via the “What did you think of this page?” option, we have included the following in the description of the predefined Supply efficiency report: if the charts do not display any information, it means that the indicators are not being calculated because the supply does not have a valid capacity on file.

NEW | Monitoring of Epson thermal receipt printers

We have implemented monitoring for Epson EU-M and TM- series thermal printers connected via network or USB.

When you install the DCA agent and Cloud Connector, enable and configure the service, the agent automatically detects the devices. As a result, the thermal printers are monitored and are available in the inventory.

You can also track the following information:

• Total printed paper usage, in kilometers.

• Number of cuts made.

• Thermal Paper supply.

• Cutter supply.
