The ASM portal now automatically collects daily meter readings for equipment linked to contracts available in the Contratos > Faturamento menu.
Previously, although a contract could be made available for billing a few days before the configured base date, meter readings were collected only on the billing date. As a result, the equipment remained with pending readings throughout the entire period leading up to the closing date.
With this update, the ASM portal performs daily collection attempts throughout the entire period that the contract is available for billing. The routine applies only to equipment whose readings have not yet been confirmed. Readings collected successfully are automatically recorded and confirmed.
On the actual billing date, the system performs a new, complete meter reading collection. This collection is considered the official billing reading and updates the existing meter readings, even if they have already been confirmed previously.
Thus, the billing process becomes more predictable and reliable, reducing the quantity of pending readings at the time of billing and the time required to identify communication issues with the equipment.
