Capture allows you to automatically fill in the following network printer fields based on the information available in the equipment's MIB:

Location address
-
Location contact name

Capture printer name
Before capture is enabled, the network printer name is automatically generated by combining the manufacturer and model.
Example
If the printer model is 123 and the manufacturer is ABC, the name displayed will be:
ABC 123
When capture is enabled, this information will be replaced by the name provided by the MIB.

Access the Settings > Monitoring menu

Enable the Automatic name capture for network printers option

Click + Add
-
Select one or more customers, or all, that will have their printer names captured

Click the Save button
The Name field in the printer registration data will be automatically updated in the NDD Orbix portal, according to the MIB.
If the corresponding data in the MIB is empty, the field in the portal will continue to display the previous information.
When you disable the configuration or remove a customer, capture will be interrupted, but the names already captured will remain saved in the printer's registration.

Capture printer location address
Before activating capture, the network printer location address must be filled in manually.
When capture is enabled, any previous information (including blank fields) will be replaced by the address provided by the MIB.

Enable the Automatic address capture for network printers option

Click + Add

Select one or more customers, or all, that will have their address captured

Click the Save button
The printer location Address field will be automatically updated in the NDD Orbix portal, according to the MIB.
If the corresponding data in the MIB is empty, the field in the portal will continue to display the previous information.
