Consolidate reading meters into a single meter

NDD Orbix allows you to transform multiple raw reading meters (collected directly from printers) into consolidated meters, facilitating data visualization and the customer billing process.

Instructions

Edit or create calculation rules for default meters

The system already offers 5 default meters, with calculation rules adapted to each manufacturer and with the flexibility option enabled:

  • A4 Mono

  • A4 Color

  • A3 Mono

  • A3 Color

  • Scan

Except when necessary, we do not recommend modifying these meters or their rules, as the actions taken are irreversible.

However, if you want to edit or create calculation rules for these meters, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Settings > Meters

  2. Locate the Calculation rules for meters option

  3. Click the Open button

  4. Analyze the meter's rule settings and, if necessary, create new rules, edit or delete existing default rules

Create new consolidated meters

If you want to create new customized meters with their own rules, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Settings > Meters

  2. Locate the Calculation rules for meters option

  3. Click the Open button

  4. Click on the ✚ button in the top right corner

  5. Enter the meter name

  6. Click the Save button to create the meter and return to the grid, the Save and Open button to create the meter and open its settings, or the Save and Create button to create the meter and remain on the creation screen

  7. Create the calculation rules for the new meter

View meters

After setting the meters and their rules, you can view the reading and consolidated meters through the printer properties.

In addition, you can generate predefined and customized reports with meter data by applying the desired filters.
