When a supply is requested (either due to alerts that the supply is running low or scheduled replenishment), a demand is created to meet that need. It is available in the Supplies > Demand planning menu, which allows users to view and plan customer demands.
The behavior of demand items depends on whether a grouping rule exists for the product, customer, and delivery location.

Demands generated from supply running low alerts

Without a grouping rule: when no grouping rule is configured, an individual replenishment demand item will be created to meet the need.

With a grouping rule: when a grouping rule is configured:

There is no open batch demand: a new batch demand will be created. The batch will consist of one item for replenishment, and the remaining items will be filled with safety stock items.

There is an open batch demand with safety items: the supply will be allocated to this demand, and one of the safety items will be replaced by a replenishment item.

The open batch demand has already reached the defined total quantity: a new batch demand will be created.

Demands generated from the scheduled replenishment

Without a grouping rule: when no grouping rule is configured, individual replenishment and/or safety stock demands will be created, according to the needs defined in the scheduled replenishment.

With a grouping rule: when a grouping rule is configured:

There is no open batch demand: one or more batch demands will be created with the replenishment and safety items specified in the scheduled replenishment.

There is an open batch demand with safety items: the items will be allocated to this demand. If items remain, they will be grouped into one or more new demands.

The open batch demand has already reached the defined total quantity: one or more batch demands will be created with the replenishment and safety stock items specified in the scheduled replenishment.

The Current level (for individual demands) column shows the status of the supply currently active in the thermal printer. In demands, the supply has two types of status:

Available: the supply is available in the printer.

Running low: the supply is at a low level.

View the supply details, if desired

Click on the type of the desired supply to open its properties

Summary
For an individual demand, it displays the properties, product, thermal printer, and current supply, as well as historical indicators.
For a batch demand, it displays the properties, batch data, and the complete list of items that make up the demand. The origin of each item in the batch will be identified as follows:

Supply running low: item added via a demand request originating from a supply alert.

Forecast: item added via a demand request originating from a scheduled replenishment.

Not assigned: item created to make up the total quantity defined for the batch.
Example: the batch contains 50 items. 10 items were added via demand requests originating from supply running low alerts, and 10 items were added via demand requests originating from scheduled replenishment. The remaining 30 items will be identified as Not assigned, as they were created to make up the total quantity of the batch.
In the properties' data, if the supply is at forced capacity or with forced product, there is an informative.
Historic
Displays the demand history. With each change in the status of the demand, a new record will be generated, where the system will retrieve the updated level, yield and running low by data, so that they reflect the values at the time the action took place. The grid shows in bold the item that is on overdue alert.
To create a grouping rule, access Create grouping rule for batch demand generation.
To change the demand product, access Change product from thermal printer supply demand.
To change the demand status, access Change status of thermal printer supply demand.
To finish or refuse the demand, access Finish or refuse thermal printer supply demand.
