Group grid data by columns

The NDD Orbix portal allows you to group columns in grids to facilitate reading and organizing the information displayed.

This feature is especially useful in grids with large amounts of data.

Example

In the Monitoring > Printers grid, you can:

  • View printers by manufacturer: drag the Manufacturer column to the grouping area.

  • View printers by model for each manufacturer: drag the Manufacturer and Model columns, in that order, to the grouping area.

Instructions

  1. Access the desired grid

  2. Click and drag the desired column to the grouping area

  3. Repeat the process with other columns, if necessary

  4. To undo the grouping of a column, click the ✖ icon next to the name of the grouped column

Some columns cannot be grouped. In these cases, you will not be able to drag the column to the grouping area.

The grouping is not saved automatically. When you exit the menu and return, you will need to redo it.
