Once software monitoring has been configured and the agent has read the data, the software identified is automatically made available in the inventory.
Note
Each piece of software is registered based on the following information:

Software name
-
Manufacturer
-
Customer
If there are differences in any of this information, new software will be registered in the inventory.
Manually registered software, if any, will also be displayed in the inventory.

Users with the Admin or View software (to view only) and/or Edit software (to change information) permissions

Go to the Monitoring > Computers > Softwares menu
When software is registered automatically by reading the agent, the following fields are filled in automatically:

Customer
The rest of the information must be filled in manually:

Status: Change software status

Category: Link category to software
The Usage status column displays the average daily quantity of hours the software was actually used over the last 30 days, considering all computers linked to the respective customer.
Example
The software Microsoft Visual Studio Code (User) was used as follows during the period from April 15, 2026, to May 14, 2026 (30 days):

April 15, 2026: 4 hours

April 24, 2026: 2 hours

April 26, 2026: 5 hours
-
April 30, 2026: 5 hours

May 14, 2026: 4 hours
The total usage time was 20 hours, spread over 5 distinct days of use.
The average usage per active day was 4 hours (20 hours / 5 days), which classifies the status as High usage.
Data is automatically updated every 2 hours.
Based on the daily average, software is classified into the following categories:

Not used: 0h00m.

Low usage: between 0h01m and 1h00m per day.

Moderate usage: between 1h01m and 3h00m per day.

High usage: between 3h01m and 5h00m per day.
-
Overused: over 5 hours per day.
When you hover over a category, a tooltip will appear showing the cumulative total of hours the software has been used up to the time of the last update.
The accounting considers only the periods during which the software was actively in use. Times when the application was minimized or running in the background are not counted, even if the software was open.
To view information on specific software, click on the desired software.
Through the tabs, you can view:
Info
Allows you to edit the software's category and status. For detailed instructions, go to Link category to software and Change software status.
Once registered, the other fields cannot be changed.
Licenses
Allows you to link the license to the software. For detailed instructions, go to Link license to software.
Computers
Shows the list of computers that have the software installed, based on the agent's scan. For detailed instructions, go to View computers with software installed.
